The RackStation RS3626xs 12-Bay NAS Enclosure from Synology is an all-in-one solution for central data management, backup, and surveillance. Designed to grow with your business, the RS3626xs scales up to 36 total drive bays with two RX1225RP 12-bay expansion units, along with versatile networking configurations and SSD caching support. A full suite of reliability, availability, and serviceability features ensures continuous operation. This unit has 12 drive bays, each of which natively supports 3.5" SATA hard drives, as well as 2.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs.

The RackStation RS3618xs is powered by a 2.9 GHz Intel Xeon D-1726 Six-Core processor and 8GB of DDR4 ECC RAM that may be upgraded to a total of 48GB by installing six 8GB modules into the available memory slots. Also featured are two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports and network connectivity is achieved via two 10GbE RJ45 ports with failover support. If you're looking to expand this NAS, there are two PCIe 4.0 x8/x8 slots that support 10/25GbE NICs, Fibre Channel, NVMe acceleration, and more.

The RS3626xs runs on the DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system, which helps simplify managing your NAS, as well as accessing and sharing data. A variety of RAID modes are supported, which help provide users with data redundancy, speed, or a combination of both. Supported RAID modes include RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, Basic, and F1. For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD is also available, allowing each drive bay to be individually utilized.

Synology has engineered the RS3626xs to be energy efficient. Not only does it offer four 80 x 80mm fans to help keep the system running cool, the server supports numerous scheduled power on / off cycles and hard drive hibernation to further minimize power consumption and operation expenses. The RackStation RS3626xs operates on 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz via dual 500W redundant power supplies and includes an accessory pack, two power cords, and a front cover. Protection is provided by a limited 5-year that covers technical support and hardware replacement services.
